Aquatecture, Inc.

is a swimming pool design and construction company located in the western San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. Since 1996, we've been designing and building the finest in pools, spas, ponds and water gardens.

Aquatecture's designs have been recognized by local and national design competitions including those sponsored by The Western Pool and Spa Show and the National Spa and Pool Institute. Aquatecture Pools have been written about and featured in various books and periodcals including The Los Angeles Times, Valley Magazine and Elle Decor. Aquatecture, Inc. brings the combined talents of Richard Kozak and Erik Thiele together to bring you the best in swimming pool design and construction.

Richard Kozak

Inspired by his father's passion for building, which included building Richard's childhood home and 1949 swimming pool (built by Richard's father's own hands), Richard pursued a degree in Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona. Since his graduation in 1984, Richard has been been fulfilling his own passion in pool design and construction, pleasing customers with his attention to customer service. Along the way, Richard has received numerous awards for his work.

Erik Thiele

Erik has always been fascinated by water. He spent many hours in his youth floating boats down the creek near his home. This lifetime fascination with water, as well as his UCLA education in Landscape Architecture, led him to his career as one of Southern California's premier pool builders. Erik began working in the pool business in 1978 and has spent the past 24 years striving to provide his customers with the best in aquatic design and construction.

Richard Kozak and Erik Thiele became coworkers in 1984 and became partners in their own venture, Aquatecture, Inc., in 1996. Members of the National Spa and Pool Institute and the American Society of Landscape Architects, Erik and Richard are among the most celebrated and award winning pool designers in Southern California.
